John M. Abrahams, MD (New York Medical College, Valhalla). Dr. Abrahams is associate professor of neurosurgery at New York College of Medicine as well as an inventor and entrepreneur. He developed a medical hydrogel to reduce bleeding during surgery and an injection to treat back pain. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Abrahams is also launching the Westchester Neuroscience Research Foundation to research spinal cord injuries, stroke recovery and brain tumors. His research has been honored by the Congress of Neurosurgeons and Pennsylvania Neurologic Society. Dr. Abrahams earned his medical degree at New York Medical College and completed his residency in neurosurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. His additional training includes the Philadelphia Spine Fellowship.
